1. Purpose

This document describes the reconciliation methodology used by EnergyCompute to produce period-end reconciliation references.

Reconciliation references provide a consistent, verifiable record of energy-compute exposure for each actor and period.

2. Reconciliation Process

Reconciliation follows a three-phase process:

Each reconciliation reference is issued once per actor per period. References are immutable. Corrections are issued as superseding references.

3. Reference Format

Each reconciliation reference contains the following fields:

Reference ID
EC-[SCOPE]-[PERIOD]-[SEQ]
Period
YYYY-MM
Actor Category
Datacenter | Cloud GPU | Runtime Agents | Broker
Observation Scope
Layer-specific scope description
Consolidation Timestamp
ISO 8601 UTC
Reference Status
Issued | Superseded
Supersession
Reference ID (if applicable)
Reference Notes
Factual annotation

4. Reference Lifecycle

4.1 Issuance

References are issued at period end following consolidation. Each reference receives a unique identifier and timestamp.

4.2 Immutability

Issued references cannot be modified. Any correction requires issuance of a new reference with supersession linkage.

4.3 Supersession

When a reference is superseded, the original reference status changes to "Superseded" and the new reference includes a supersession pointer.

5. Methodology Statement

Observations rely on machine-native signals aggregated across infrastructure layers. Consolidation is performed at period end. Internal units and weighting models are not publicly disclosed.

6. Output

Reconciliation produces:
